Kansa Vatki foot massage is a massaging technique carried through Kansa Vatki whose meaning is ‘Metal Bowl’. This centuries-old treatment begins the same way as always, by bathing the feet and legs to clean and relax them.
Then, carefully and deliberately the toes, feet, ankles and calves are encouraged to relax through the application of massage techniques carried out with various medicated oils, best suited to your Dosha.
The particularity of the treatment is the use of a small metal Kansa bowl to rub onto and stimulate the feet. The 3 metals used are copper, zinc and tin. Copper is thought to help in reducing pain and inflammation, Zinc is thought to help in proper functioning of the immune system and digestion while Tin is believed to be helpful in digestion, relieving headaches and insomnia.
